Getting Ramped up for Flu Season

This is not a DDA-exclusive blog post. This has been an issue at many places, so we decided to blog about it.

The crazy changes from season-to-season (in this case, Summer to Fall), has not been the easiest on our health!

Flu season seems to have started up again in the midst of the fluctuating temperatures. DDA is affected no less than everyone else! At many of our programs, we’ve been handing out information packages on protection from the flu and h1n1, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on those sorts of notices in order to try to stay healthy. If everyone is healthy, then all our programs and events can happen as planned!

It may be overwhelming to read about flu warnings everywhere, but one can never be too careful!

Wash your hands, cover your coughs and sneezes, and dress appropriately for the weather.  If you start to feel under the weather, stay at home so you don’t spread anything to anyone else. If you see any notices about the flu or h1n1, be sure to translate it to whoever needs the translating.

For more information on h1n1 and the flu, visit http://www.gov.bc.ca/h1n1. From all of us at DDA, stay healthy.
