Blogathon: Family Resources

I’ve been intending to redo parts of our website by adding a resource page (similar to our DDA Connections Guide). This resource page will house all the resources we’ve been recommended, and the resources we recommend. Because DDA has only recently been engaging in a variety of social media initiatives (such as our flickr and Twitter pages), I thought it would be appropriate to list some of our favourite social media sites and tools:

  • Yoyomama is a site dedicated to mums “on-the-go, in the know.” They also have their own Twitter page @yoyomama_van.
  • Zacbrowser is a free software package meant to help children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), asperger’s, rett syndrome, and other similar syndromes. It features multiple games and resources that are meant to alleviate symptoms from autism.
  • @healingautism is one of my favorite reads on autism. They tweet great articles and a lot of resources often. If you’re on Twitter, be sure to follow them!
