Riverside Child Development Centre recently made a breakthrough discovery on how to make children eat their vegetables. The solution is simple: have the children plant their own vegetables.
In early May, the children at Riverside Child Development Centre planted peas, pumpkins and tomatos into their rich field of soil out back. Today, they’re enjoying the “veggies of their labour,” hardwork and patience. The pumpkins still haven’t yielded much growth, but the tomatos are looking large and ripe. The peas on the otherhand were quickly devoured by all the children. In fact, even after eating all the peas, the children still wanted more!
So here’s a tip for parents out there that (could use some garden work and) want their children to eat more veggies, have them plant their own!
